I'm good with the Victory Sole.

Steve, we had previously discussed a chukka on rain last in some color of grain leather for fall (originally discussed hatchgrain but changed to scotch grain). Will we still be planning on doing this makeup? I'd be interested in this once we get the tobacco suede austerity brogue and I confirm my size.

On another note, would Carmina be able to do a loafer like this?

Its a st. Crispins design but would be awesome if Carmina could replicate it at a more affordable level

Well, since Carmina has the poor judgment to abandon a distinctive suede offering, is anyone up for a spectator Adelaide? Say a mix of Grey and navy calf? Or grey suede and dark grey or, instead of grey calf, black or navy calf? Or some mix of tan and brown calf?

We were bold before. Let's not let Carmina ' s iniquities ruin our high.

^^^ navy calf and navy suede would be pretty interesting.

Here's an example: it's a GG MTO astaire

That looks nice. But I would favor something with more contrast. Go loud, go proud.

Are you all doing purple lining on this? (not a deal breaker but.... flat laces?)

I could do both, especially the last I would rather prefer even.

gents any interest in a tassel loafer?
I don't get why people care about lining...it is never seen when the shoe is on. I don't have an opinion on lining so whatever the group decides is fine with me

What is the other option besides flat laces? Kinda new to the shoe "lingo" here on SF so I don't quite get the "flat laces" trend. To me, the makeup that Skoatie had/that we are imitating is perfect.

I agree on the lining with one exception - I like purple lining. I think it is subtle and yet quite subversive. Quite fitting from a Spanish maker of shoes. smile.gif

this MTO will come with the regular round dark brown laces :)

Carmina ships some of their chukkas and some of the more casual shoes with thicker flat laces.

Ditto. I like the purple, I just don't get the fuss. I've seen guys not buy shoes because of the lining.

I have both brown and purple lined shoes and I hardly notice the difference. Hell, before joining this forum I didn't even look inside a shoe let alone bother with the lining lol!

If your doing a MTO or something specialized make it different. Why do I have my custom Bontonis with my name on the inside of the shoe? Its because its something that no one else will have. Go for the extra details just for you.

BUT TASSEL LOAFERS????????
