OK, let's see if we can muster 6 people then.

Folks,

Summer is coming, I swear.  We had discussed a grey suede loafer like above only (1) on the rain last; (2) WITHOUT the tassels and (3) WITHOUT medallion, although I had asked if we could agree to keep the medallion for visual interest.  Can't we get six for a group-made-to-order for these great and versatile summer shoe?

I'm pretty sure Steve is working on this one. I, personally, was waiting to hear back from him. ALthough I forget for what...haha

How long does the MTO usually take for arrival?

^ I like this a lot but I have no idea how the rain last would act as a loafer

Anyone interested in a remake of that unipair version? 5 eyelets, rain last, snuff suede on dainite

Would get in on the tobacco but already got the austerity brogue in tobacco.

Nah, I'm in for tobacco. I already have two Carmina's (with a third MTO on the way) in snuff suede.

Are the others still interested in doing it in tobacco with Dainite/Tomir sole?

Ok. Here is where I am on this:

Ok with Dainite - prefer leather. Meaning: if the only way it gets done is Dainite then I am in. From the numbers it is looking like Dainite. (I would not want the Tomir. Let's go one way or the other.)

Rain last - no negotiations

Lighter suede - prefer tobacco but ok with anything but the real dark brown. (I have enough of that.)

5 eyelet fine - 3 eyelet preferred.

So based on what I see, I am in.

I have two loafers on the rain and it is fantastic for loafers. The wear is exactly the same as any other loafer for me. They have a chiseled look to them, and if you don't like that you won't like loafers on the Rain.

Okay then, let's specify it like this:

Carmina five eyelet chukka (905)

Rain last

Tobacco suede

Dainite sole

So it seems like we got two in (me and Burton). Anyone else?

I am in too.

That makes three. Figuring who is in and out is like calculus. 😎

As I'm aware of, Steve himself is also in. So that makes us four. Two more to go! :)

Burton, did you keep your regular Rain size or did you go down a half size for the loaferd

Same. Let me offer this, I am a full Rain last fit. For me, the Rain just fits. So once the sole breaks in the tiniest bit there is no heel slippage at all. My first pair of Carmina shoes were actually loafers on the Rain last. Could not believe it--loafers that fit. Amazing. I would like to try other lasts, but given my success, and the goofiness of my feet, I stick with what works.
