I love pie, and I love ice cream. I love them together and apart. For me pie is more of a special dessert, whereas I eat ice cream every day. Right now there are a half dozen assorted pints in the freezer. You can good pretty good ice cream on any block in NYC. GOOD Pie is something special, not easily obtained, and makes the occasion a special one.
That being said, we had some pretty darn good ice cream up in Maine last summer: Round Top on the Damariscatta peninsula (Grape Nuts:happy:! ), and Goose Rocks Dairy from down near Kennebunkport
