I think people need to realize that the factories are just the medium. They are the builders yes, but they can be instructed to make different things of different quality. A good designer manages these manufacturers. It's not like designers are all having the same thing churned out and they are just middlemen with a mark up. The problem we see on SF is clients trying to be designers with tailors and now factories.
You could be cynical and say well Dave you would say that, but look at the different designers/brands that greenfield for one works with. He doesn't make the same suit for all of them.
