TTO - in some of the example pics you posted, the combos included 2 striped items of different scales/sizes.

This is cool to do in this Fridays challenge and will be included in the poll?

Yes, differently striped, checked or otherwise patterned items count separately towards your golden total, they do have to be different though!
Bi-colour knits are out, as I kind of think of them in the same way as shot silks and mohair suits, two different colours but not patterned.
again, sorry, harsh, strict but I hope a fair judgement?

what do you mean by bi-coloured knit ties? different coloured warp and weft? or even knit ties with a different coloured stripes?

great, thanks!

sounds fair to me. i mean, would one count a blue/black SC that appears navy from more than 6 inches out, to be considered a pattern. i dont think it would be. but it would make this much easier on me.

i assume they mean different colored warp and weft. or the ones where its two colors woven together that become one color when viewed from a foot out and beyond. or maybe that is the same thing, im not an expert in these things.

this drakes tie, acceptable, a subtle yet definite pattern

this lovely bi-colour from Kent Wang, nope, essentially its a solid, instant disqualification!

Knitted ties with stripes like this one from Spoo's Lux-Swap are acceptable.

1. Noob reads about this Friday challenge (after posting for the majority of last week in warywrn) and has an epiphany about pairing his favorite patterned jacket with a certain tie, square and shirt combo.
2. Noob thinks of little else all day
3. Noob rushes home to change to realize that his alterations tailor let the sleeves out too much, his cuffs don't show with "the shirt" that would have crushed it in the contest
4. Noob tries other shirts only to realize his ******* tailor must have mistaken him for an orangutang and eschews the use of his favorite patterned jacket.
5. Noob goes to plan b
6. Noob plan b saves the day, he wins contest and humbly and graciously accepts plaudits and admiring comments.

*noob realizes his shirt game needs to be improved, post haste
