And I see the poll is closed now. Congrats, TTO! Too bad, Tirailleur. : )

Oh good grief.  NO!  The WAYWRN thread is already poisoned with denim, cargo pants, socklessness and even plastic sport "shoes".  Fuck NO!

I like the Gatsby idea.  Although it is basically what I wore for the linen challenge...

Here's a movie alternative: James Bond, referencing the movie of one's choice?  Pretty wide range, from Connery's knit ties and nylon, to Moore's shitty pastel slacks and Gucci horsebit loafers, to Craig's far-too-small-and-where's-your-fucking-waistcoat-you-slovenly-arse dinner suit.  But I'm guessing it's been done.

OK, one more.  With the recent crucifixion of SugarButch in mind: how about "all blue"?  Suit, shirt, tie and PS must all be blue or mostly blue.  Without using a spotty hanky.

Did we ever do a no-pattern challenge?

That would be interesting, I prefer texture over patterns anyway.

  • despises PS
  • is pressured into wearing one despite predisposition
  • gives in for sake of challenge and buys PS
  • dons PS
  • seems to look great
  • does not win challenge
  • swears revenge on all PS and will never don one again

congrats TTO!

But those were the most interesting ones from the first series, IMO.

Yes, those have been done before, but this would be a variation which combined the two.

mimo, Blue Challenge has been did. But, as they say, it can be done again.

To this I also add my inconsequential voice.  I'd be in.

They're talking a lot about narco chic over in the polyester thread.

Don't think that one has been done...

By the way, if it is "no patterns" in the end, PS should be compulsory.  Just sayin'

But we can do "pimp-tastic" maybe?  OK, that's just my Nigerian side coming out, but I'm sure Trailer would be first in...

Guys, I don't think we have to go way out into the weeds for a friday challenge. How about something simple? Best use of collar bar and lapel pin? A french cuff challenge? It need not be something esoteric.

Collar bars.  Not esoteric.

No wonder this group can never agree on anything. ;)
