But my wider point stands; I think lighter or brighter coloured summer jackets are generally easier in textured solids rather than patterns. This may simply be personal habit, of course.

I can answer that; it's Hackett. It also has Friday Challenge pedigree; when I had it, it won the "best FU jacket" theme back in the day!

Great to see it being worn; it looks like it fits you very well (... but not totally sold on the combo; the weave of the jacket is quite open and I think generally it needs more textured rather than smooth stuff to complement it, but then again I'm cheating 'cos i know what it's like in person).

Nice, it really is my most FU jacket. The tie is wool so I think is goes with the jacket but I see what your saying about the ps. I've only got a few non-silk varieties and I'm not sure any of them would have worked. Also, yes. my tie needs a dimple, bad, but I had no time to mess with it.

Stitch and mimo get my votes today. Org and Pliny almost got my votes, very strong efforts!

Orgetorix for being risky, Licious for following the rules yet being so understated, An Acute Style for really bringing it with a traffic-stopping fit and TTO for the unbelievably singular high-quality garments.

Fair enough. I couldn't even participate, so I really shouldn't even be critiquing teacha.gif

This was such a difficult challenge, with a surprisingly deep, high quality field; I actually voted for over a dozen of you guys. But if I was forced to narrow it down to a top 5, I'd pick Orgetorix, GMMcL, Pingson, NOBD & TTO.

And my overall fave, despite a minor nitpick I made upthread, was GMMcL for a lovely jacket, an exceptionally difficult tie pattern to incorporate, and for an overall country-ish look that worked as a gestalt.

What a top challenge.icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Too kind - and you said midday London time, which is currently BST, not GMT, so I thought I was five minutes early. ;)  You, of course, look remarkably good.  The shirt is something I wouldn't dream of picking, yet the combo is outstanding - love that suit.  I think you're still top of the Premier League.

(Caustic - just saw your post - thanks!)

So much win today I had to vote for a top ten.

So many winners this week.

Blind raise. Whaddup?

Having now seen everyone, I'm more convinced.

Everyone else is wearing a lot of patterns, Timo is just wearing a cool, breezy summer fit.

Judging by the poal results so far, you called it.

This did go above just managing to combine four patterns without giving someone a headache, so Timo deserves the applause.

Also, it's remarkable how well the SuitSupply stuff fits him. That suit looks great on him.

This weeks Clapeyron awards go to:

The prize for both best pattern and best colour coordination goes to Pingson, would have been my clear winner were it for a higher collar.

This was imho this weeks best fitting fit with both a great jacket and shirt, a close second on the Spoopoker shirt collar award but a clear winner in the Clapeyron excellence initiative of coat fitting:

Thank you very much! smile.gif

It was tough to vote for me cause I liked a lot of fits, had to scroll down a lot of times to remember the usernames and the fits. But IMO, Timo's combo is amazing!
