Some of my more & less successful attempts at combining four patterns.

There is a lot more success than failure in those, TTO. You are going to be a tough one to beat!

Although I will post a fit for the challenge, I am moire than happy not to include myself in the vote if people feel I have stacked the deck in my favour?
I just want folks to give it a little thought, maybe learn something about combining with subtlety rather than just throwing everything into one fit. These challenges can and have really helped me to refine my sense of style, I'm hoping that setting complicated and difficult parameters for dressing, others will as well.
or something!?

No, TTO. You MUST participate! You are too good at this. Besides, you couldn't have stacked the deck in your favor, I was the one who suggested a four pattern challenge after all.

In the first round of challenges there was a pattern mixing Friday, I think trying a 4 pattern combo whilst maintaining a, relatively, conservative & coherent look could be a good learning experience/challenge for many of us?
or we could just do best monogram!

Solids don't count as a pattern. (right?)

What about rough weaves for ties, like knit? (I'm not intending to wear one...I'm just hoping to prevent others from wearing them)

Nope, texture is not pattern.

Does herringbone count as a pattern?

this is gonna be difficult, if it is distinctly bi-coloured yes, if just texture, nope. post a pic for final judgement if your unsure.
on this note,
-donegal, nope ( I have seen a vintage donegal stripe I would accept )
-pick n' pick, no
-birdseye, yes MAYBE?
-bi-colour knit ties, sorry, nope
you need a patterned pocket square, a patterned shirt, a patterned tie & a patterned sportscoat/suit or solid sportscoat if you have given yourselfe the extra challenge of patterned trousers.

I will be tough, but fair.

again if in doubt of a fabrics 'patterness', post here for final judgement!
