02.15 is when you see it as it's best!

His music is not good but that car is sweet, anybody knows what model it is / year?

I liked his glasses and then he said "saint laurent glasses" they're prett sweet. Plus why was he driving the car with the doors up?

Wouldn't you?

Yeah, it's the Gullwing. Arguably the best car MB ever produced.

That's one of the most iconic of any car produced. Yesterday, I saw a red one on the freeways.

How about the performance, could it be measured with any of the newer sport-cars?

There is one for sale on the group that Full Canvas listed and it's priced at $400,000. The cheap version was the 190SL.

Please note: the car you refer to is a roadster, not a Gullwing (coupe).
Even now, it is generally a seller's market for Gullwings.
The infrequent sales for Gullwings are generally at a considerably higher amount than the asking price of the roadsters.

1957 300 SL Roadster, 64,500 miles, white grey DB158, red leather DB1079, very good condition. All matching numbers, all original records, owners manual, registration, Becker Mexico tag and manual, service book, Montage Anleitung antennae mounting instructions, Zertificat. Recent full manintenance by xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. $400,000. Contact xxxxxxxxxxxx at xxxxxxxxxxxxx.

It's not really a fair comparison anymore.

1954 was also the year that Leica introduced the M3. It must have been an exciting year.

Noted; also, I was wondering whether the 300SL was ever one of those cars that sort of stagnated--like '50s Maseratis/Porsches in the '70s--and then saw a peak in interest?
