Long Torso - Short Legs. How to fit pants so that proportions look right?

There are a few older threads on this topic but nothing with a good definitive answer. How have those of you with relatively short inseams and long torsos dealt with looking sleek in business clothing?

For me, I find that there are three unsatisfactory comrpomises. Excuse me if the pictures don't show things super clearly or the contrast between one fit and another is not super clear. Camera isn't great and I am a mediocre photographer.

  1. Slim fit low-rise pants that make the torso look super long like Hobbes from Calvin & Hobbes. These are Bonobos Slim Fit, fyi. Works great for people with normal proportions or longer legs. For me to have crotch space and not look ridiculous, this is the position I wear them:

2. Slim fit low-rise pants hiked up higher for better balance that completely suffocate the crotch and look silly. This is really uncomfortable but it is my favorite vertical balance. In fact, I would pull these up another 2 cm but I physically cannot. Same pants as above.

3. Looser high-rise pants that make me look like a grandpa, especially since I have a skinny upper body (and lower body). These are custom pants that are kind of too loose/high rise for someone with a slender upper body. Vertical balance is good but I look way too bottom-heavy.

Is there any way achieve a visual balance between legs and torso without resorting to a ridiculously high rise that looks frumpy or going with a hiked up crotch-squeezing set of misused slim fit pants? Or am I doomed? Looking forward to any input.

FYI this is also something that plagues me with jeans/chinos/anything. It only doesn't matter when the top is untucked. If it matters I am 5'11", 160 with 30" inseam (sometimes 31").

The legs are only 1-1.5 inches short for 5'11". Wear slightly slimmer pants, hike them up a little less than in the third picture, and work on increasing the width of the upper torso.

this is all in your head. all those pictures look the same. im taller than you and with a shorter inseam and i don't have the perceived problem you have, so..

I would try some with less tapering since your waist seems small relative to your hips. I think this applies to all 3 photos.

Upon further review, yes, prominent hips. Therefore, have the slim-fit pants above let out there, and don't slim the legs more.

Also, shoes in a similar color to the pants makes the legs look longer.
