What measurements are you hoping to get it down to? I would definitely be anxious about over-shrinking. Maybe start by washing warm and drying on low or medium just once? I'm usually in between XS and S in most stuff (5'6", 140lb, 37.5" chest) and this fits me pretty well. There's a little extra room to layer and it's about an inch longer but I think it looks good like that.
Edit: I'd also be worried about the sleeves, which are fairly short already (they are perfect for me and to me are a true XS sleeve). You might get the chest/length down but you don't want the sleeves to be too short .Edited by ekimneems - 10/14/13 at 4:46pm
