Has anybody gotten anything in the grey hb-wp that could chime in on the fabric?

That was my point, why I quoted online. I don't have access to the stuff so I just have to ogle it online, call a store, and hope it all works out.

Folks,

I think it is simple. Talk to the shops that carry EG.

  • Ask if your size is available - if in doubt, order the two sizes that might work
  • Make sure that you check the return policy and that they are ok with you returning stuff for a full credit to your CC - not store credit
  • Get the stuff, try it on, keep what you like, send the rest back
  • Yes, you likely have to cover postage of sending it back but that is a small price on a $520 jacket or a $290 pant if fit/ your taste is important

I have done it with a SS13 beach jacket on sale (ordered two sizes, sent one back) and a few things from the FW13 line. I have done it with Taylor Stitch (Free returns), Ends (Yes, from the US to the UK and not that expensive) and a few other brands. And it works out just fine if the stuff is not available at your local store. Keep what you like, send the rest back.

Oi Polloi have received a bunch of items to add to their FW13 inventory -- notably the Pea Jacket Salmon people print - Red, a blue duck canvas and natural denim coverall jkt, and the floral printed popover shirt LS in 2 colours that seemed to generate quite a response.

Really like that USN jacket...except for the pocket right by the middle button...seems a very odd placement to me. But, intriguing jacket design and the fabric looks cool.

It's a lovely looking jacket I thought to myself I'm not getting any sports coats this season but this proved me wrong. The olive one is on point. Price wise I'd say $475-$500.
