Engineered Garments Fall / Winter 2013 - Page 109

For those who picked up a button shawl was it smaller than you had thought? Looks smaller in person than online for reason...

^ I found it mostly related to the position of the buttoned part on body and the amount of neck/collar roll involved, I also found that placing the button placket to the side (on shoulder/arm) and not buttoning the first few buttons is the best fit imho for getting proportional lengths at the front & back

^laundered it and it looks even better worn despite how small it may look just handling it.

thanks again to @Ken P for giving me a head up on a great deal. Finally managed to pick this up:

Not EG but from the shawl from Daiki's definitive WWM collection: http://quepasashop.com/products/woodsman-poncho

I love eg but I feel like you could get a shawl made for way cheaper than the eg ones go with and choose your own fabric.

Anybody catch the EG Grey Wool Bedford that Taran Killam was wearing on last night's SNL?

Is EG sizing generally consistent season to season?

Not really

Jesus if I hear gettoasty post again about the button shawl im going to lose it. Hopefully him owning one will at least quell some of my anger. FlyingLotus is right, sizing varies especially with the most recent seasons. Shirts run 1-2 sizes big, shorts tend to run smaller, etc. Check measurements before taking the plunge is the recommended approach. Also I have quite a few EG items up for sale now, mention this thread and I can cut the EG fans an extra discount.
