Engineered Garments Fall / Winter 2013 - Page 11

The Red CPO is amazing, but where I'm at I would never be able to wear it... Definitely want to cop the USN pants in navy, those pockets are killer. Other than that, I think I'm good.

Would think a wool overshirt would be ideal winter coat for the deep Florida winter

I barely get away w/ wearing a WWM field parka... that heavy ass 21oz wool will give me a heat stroke.

Same thing in LA, my collection of jackets keeps growing but never get worn

Saw someone mention a couple specific shirts, are there pics of the shirt offerings for this season yet? Most interested in the work shirts.

This may be more of a personal preference, but I wear my corduroy workadays year round so you should be fine in the summer unless it's really hot.

Sometimes corduroy can be really heavy but you'll know just from handling it if it's winter weight.

Mainline pieces use different weights of corduroy -- dependant on the season. This SS13 collection had light weight 8W cord shorts. This FW13 has corduroy Long Beach Pants -- my guess 11W or even heavier. I recommend the Workaday cords as well, it'll handle spring, autumn and winter just fine.

Thanks for the opinions.

The reason why I asked is because I was in Tokyo in May and a sale person told me that Linen was only meant for summer, not to be worn in winter. Hence, I thought may be Corduroy is also kind of like a seasonal fabric in that sense.

So true, so true! The mere mention of 24oz All Wool Flannel is making me perspire...

19th BD - Tattersall

19th BD - Oxford

Work Shirt - Chambray

Miner Shirt - Chambray

Round Collar - Cotton Pique

Classic - Tartan Plaid

CPO Shirt - 19oz Wool Flannel

I'm really liking the Olive Reversed Sateen CINCH and MATT Pants. This will make up for missing out on Fatigue Pants from SS13.

I wonder if the uniform serge Bedford will come in any other colours. The navy would be nice, but I also wouldn't mind a charcoal or other colour.

Thank you!

Chambray workshirt will be a definite pickup, love the color this season. Not sure about that black one, looks like denim since the inner face of the fabric is lighter. Will have to handle that one in person to decide.

White tattersall and black Oxford 19th century shirts look nice too.

Red CPO looks great...will def have to consider that one too.

There are a few more previewed, but the above being my personal pick of the bunch. Rest of it can be witnessed via http://engineeredgarments.jp/

I'm also lusting for EG x Trickers collabo. Any information about availability? Is it available in store at Nepenthes NYC?

Also Nepenthes NY now on tumblr: http://nepenthesny.tumblr.com/

So many nice little details like the unique pockets, the internal elbow reinforcement, unique cut, twill heringbone placket lining, the contrasting button at the bottom, unique cuff design, etc. So nice! Chambrays are my favorite, but there are always some other good options each season as well. Sometimes I wonder why I wear any other shirts...

I really need to try one of them workshirts, as the closest I've come this far to any type of eg shirt is the cpo (vowing head in shame).

From personal experience, I can strongly recommend the Work Shirt in white poplin from SS13. An all-season weight and easy colour which makes this an easy to wear item with all the details mentioned above, only really visible upon close inspection and quite subtle.

The last button at front, instead of painted white, is transparent/clear.

They have a couple of sizes left at Context on sale.
