Engineered Garments Fall / Winter 2013 - Page 84

Got the salmon people shawl. $700 its hard to swallow but at $350 it's more on the pendleton retail which I can bite. Will post pattern if anyone wants to diy (sup mikey). As for fabric onbutton shawls its same as ones used for bedford and andover. Won't keep you toasty in the winter but you will be wearing this 'over' things so yeah.

Thanks, I'm looking for a lighter to mid weight one but 12oz dark navy is hard to beat for versatility so wondering if its too toasty for socal and better off with wide stripe or plaid, which I'm assuming would be about the same weight

Shoulder cape is on sale at Jonathan & Olivia. Really dig it, but don't know what to expect in terms of fit/warmth.  Does anyone have one or seen one to give some info?

Can anyone get the purchase to go through at j+o?

It seems to have just sold out?

Which one was it? There's one in wool and one in NyCo Ripstop. The wool is obviously alot warmer and you can get that one at 15% off today at The Bureau.

Regarding fit it's at least big enough to be worn over a jacket. Pictured is the NyCo Ripstop.

How does the cavalry twill fabric compare to the cotton whipcord? Which do you prefer and why?

My references are for the cavalry twill usn pants and a bedford jacket in heavy cotton whipcord. I find the fabrics to be similar with the cavalry twill being softer and more flexible and the cotton whipcord more burly, rigid and coarser. Both are inelastic. The cotton whipcord i'm speaking of was obviously thicker/heavier than the pants so that might add to the characteristics. To fairly compare the two you would probably have to have them in the same weight and garment side by side though. Hope that helps a little.

Would love to see pictures of this if you have the time. Especially to see how it differs to the normal shawls. Did you go for the red or the indigo? I ended up going just for the 12oz navy shawl but I'm kind of thinking that I would have really liked the navy and red striped one instead. As Canstyleace says, the Navy one will definitely be more versatile.

Does anyone have any experience with Lafeyette jacket? Specifically the sleeves. They look like they're cinched but are they easy to fix if too long?

It's getting ridiculous but there is so much that I want to buy this season.

I believe the lafayette jacket has elastic cuffs, so should stackkk if too long, easy fix for tailor otherwise

Anyone seen an XS Andover, in either grey or navy flannel from this season? I don't even know if Bureau had it.

I'm a 36s and have an XS from last season, anyone note and sizing changes? i did notice the workshirts are a little larger this season but hopefully not the Andover/Bedford.

thanks in advance

Does anyone have that reversible bal coat that can comment on sizing? For reference the SS13 bedford fits me perfectly and the FW12 herringbone baker is just a tad big (both in XL)

Anyone seen the chambray western shirt in stock? Looking for an XL... thanks

Any where to find button shawls left? J+O has been giving me error messages and it looks like they're now sold out of the 12oz navy and black. A point in the right direction will be much appreciated, hell I don't even care if it's on sale or not.

edit, just called nepenthes.

You should try calling J+O, especially if you live in the USA. I remember having to go through a process where you get put on a list before they would honor a request to buy something. It had something to do with the way they did shipping or something.

Do they sell rare Ferraris or Pateks? C'mon...
