Improved description.

Ford has done more to bring attention to the GTA area than anyone before him.

Out of interest, is anyone actually okay with / blithely unconcerned with Fordy's hittin the pipe?

I mean it's kinda funny. Okay pretty funny. But only for the first few seconds.

If the crack use happened in his college years or way back that would be bad but maybe it's the new normal. Think of Clinton, Bush, and Obama. All powder guys, "Allegedly". And it happened in their past.
.
But when it happens in office, that is different. Think Marion Barry!

GTA deserves better than the drama and BS of Ford. GTA is much more than Rob Ford and his travails.

It's not all about him.

I don't have a problem with him hitting the pipe per se. Where I have a problem is that the guy's life is obviously out of control.

You don't have a problem with him smoking crack while in office? That's pretty hardcore shit.

There are plenty of high functioning recreational crack users.

Same thing with bath salts.

I really do not in and of itself. Yes, crack is a hardcore drug with a high level of addiction. If he's handling his shit though I really do not have a problem with it. He's not handling his shit and that I have a problem with. Additionally the side show has made conducting the business of the city near about impossible. Do I think he should step down? Months ago. Is it because of him taking a puff off a glass dick? Nope.

IMO there are and have been many powerful politicians that were slaves to their various vices and demons. I don't care if a person has vices and demons I just care when they start to run the guy's (or gal's) life.

Can you shut the fuck up about black community leaders and coke taking presidents for one fucking minute in your life, you have bigger issues than kids who weren't loved enough by their daddies and too much by their uncle.

Leaving aside how awful he is sober (was he ever sober?), it is definitely the out of control behaviour AND the issues/moves surrounding his crack addiction that are a problem.

Ford should wear three-piece suits.

it's one thing to smoke crack

it's another thing to smoke crack in the company of your extortionist aide/drive/bodyguard? and someone who was soon after murdered as part of a drug turf war

the latter is much more entertaining though

I hate when I'm in complete agreement with you.
