Bexley shoes. any info?

I was just checking out the shoes listed at Bexley.com after reading Pierre's recent post. The 167 euros price seem to be quite low for the hand-made models, considering that they are claimed to be hand-lasted and goodyear welted. The shoes look quite attractive, especially the whole cut model. Does anyone have any information on these shoes? Like what's the catch at these prices? Thanks, CC

Hi, I'm lacking info too but I will buy a pair and see by myself. I exchanged mail with someone who has Bexleys as well as bowens. He seems to think that the non handmade Bexley are quite a match to Bowen (those being overpriced). I can only imagine that the handmade would be even better. By the way, it's the price without VAT. Thanks Pierre. Being in the U.S. I don't think I'll be paying the VAT. However with shipping costs the price may go up slightly. By the way, the shoe trees also look quite nice and the prices also seem to be reasonable, especially if ordering more than one. CC

Bumping an old thread to see if anyone had more information. The Carnegie looks interesting - I've always liked the wholecut look, and the price is good. So, any opinions/experience?

If shoes are like their brushes (which lose their hairs) you can forget them.
