You Americans are crazy. I haven't eaten fast food in about 13 years - it is really, really, REALLY easy to avoid.

I love packed lunches though.

I'm talking about fast food as junk food. Not like hitting up the local Viet place for some rice paper rolls, or something. If that counts as fast food then I guess your taste in fast food is crazy.

So, what is the good food that is rare in the USA?

Food that is fresh, lacks obscene amount of preservatives, isn't full of vegetable protein, isn't deep fried/greasy (I don't have a gall bladder) and doesn't remind me of airplane food.

Fresh seafood in the PNW was and is awesome, though.

Might just be being somewhere new and not finding what's good, but the USA is the only country that's been an issue.

Oh I'm sure there are great restaurants - I'd actually love to be wrong next time I'm over and be all like "damn, this is awesome" for as long as I'm there.

But, so far, when a local is like 'yo, Matt, you gotta check this place out' it's usually not very tasty for me. Hence why the good food experiences have been rare for me.

I found hair in my Chipotle burrito today and proceeded to eat it after yanking it out.

In-N-Out is my last hope.

I still kind of want to vomit thinking about it, but been holding it down. I need real good dinner tonight or something to wash the thought out.

I'm confused, did you eat the hair or the burrito.

Popeyes is the epitome of amazing fast food.
S/O to willy.

He's pretty much right. The vegemite in the country doesn't hold a candle to the stuff from the motherland.
