I think you're letting your self proclaimed vintage Ray Ban expertise get to your head. Let me remind you it took you almost three months to come up with the accusation that I may be edcipo. If I was knowingly selling counterfeits why on Earth would I want to know if they are genuine or not?? Here's some advice: use your feeble brain sparingly, you don't want to waste that intellect in case you really need it one day.

And for those of you who care to know, I quickly realized (before any of the supposed "experts" here responded) that the "Ambermatics" I purchased were not authentic. I returned them for a full refund.

I am NOT the originator of this forum. I also, have a job that requires 50 hours a week attendance. Edcipo is known for those cheap, ugly, unclear photos of "vintage ray bans"...and also is a wannabe "know it all" forum creator. The original creator of this forum knows more than 99.9 percent of the population when it comes to this subject, Zi can assure you of that.

Hi, Congratulations on your degree in Ray-Banology. Can you please let me know the Model (Name/Number) of these Ray-Ban USA glasses?

I bought them because they seemed to be as close that Ray-Ban has come to "Byrd"/ "Granny" glasses. They do say Ray-Ban USA on the inside of the nosepiece and and "WD983 VRAS" (I think) on the left ear piece.

Cheers,

Randy

Sir ,
I am saddened today with the loss of the left lens of my beloved Ray Ban 62 14 aviator lenses.
It fell to the ground as I was exiting the drug store.
Can you help this ageing Vietnam Veteran.
I believe they are a 70's model.
Thank you.
JIMI

Hi!
I'm from argentina, and i just recently found a Bausch Lomb Rayban Ricardo (seems like a wayfarer but with thin legs :p ) with the original case or pocket and the Plastic guarantee label from Bausch Lomb Argentina included (Doble Garantia RayBan Bausch & Lomb ARGENTINA S.A. says textualy). The where almost not used, they are just new, and where found at the depot of an old sunglases shop that closed recently. I just want to know what i have in my hands, because they are ******* amazig but i don't know if i have to use them or put it on an auction. They seems from the late 70s or early 80s, and i didn't found any photo or info at internet....A friend tha knows the history of Bausch Lomb told me tha they could be named "Ricardo" because there was a period that the company put the name of some employes to the sunglasse. It's that true? Contact me as soon as possible.
Thanx!

Second have BL written, top left and write - very small print.

I was cleaning out a house and came across a set of aviators that think are pretty old.. could use ur expertise. They are 62mm and came in the case that has a plastic insert. The lenses are not a bright yellow but more of an amber color. Any info would be appreciated.

I have a pair of B&L RayBans that I think are the Wayfarer model. They have the BL etching on the outside of each lens and Ray-Ban in white on the top outside corner of the right lens. Ray-Ban in white on the left earpiece near the hinge. BAUSCH & LOMB in raised lettters on the inside of the right earpiece near the hinge, FRAME FRANCE in raised letters on the inside of the left earpiece near the hinge. On the left earpiece near the end in raised letters is L1605 NTAS. I'm assuming this is the model number, but I can't find anything online that tells me what this number means. Can you help me?

Thanks, Jim

I've been trying to find some more information a these Ray Bans (model, date etc) and a rough idea of the value. On one side they read RB 58(square)15 WD 2023 and on the other side B&L RAY BAN. Got them passed on from a relative and unfortunately no documentation came with them. Just a case. I've attatched a few pictures.

Hey I was just wondering if you could ID this model of Ray Bans. They don't have any model numbers, but it says Ray Ban on the sides and on the left lens, and both lenses have B&L engraved on them.
