The frame has to be stamped "Bausch & Lomb" under the crossbar that is under the sweat bar to be B&L military issue AN6531

Recently purchased,  advertised as 1960's Ray Ban 24K GP Kalichrome Decot Shooting Sunglasses.

Are they authentic?. They appear to be from my google searches. However there is no stamping on the template/arms or lenses.

If you have any idea on the exact model & year, it would be appreciated!

mmmm 24GP i find it just misleading honestly. Some older arista frames had specifically indicated to be Gold Filled or Gold Overlayed. first 12ct and later 10ct and also the percentage changed 1/10 to 1/20 to 1/30.

Later edition classic metals suppose to have a near pure gold 24k layer on them. but those Decot are from round the 60s i guess. im not so familiar with the model.

Lenses are not marked before mid/end 70s. Temples are hardly marked

enjoy

You are right! The Precious Metals frame came from factory with a Top Gradient blue Changeable lens that had the "Raised" RB logo over the right one.

This is mostly a custom combo and, in my opinion, a far superior lens technology.

Although frame and lenses are original. This combo did not leave the factory as a combo set nor was it a factory custom of some sort. This is simply a mix and match set to increase profit potential. confused.gif

I have a pair of Ray-Ban Shooters, they are a ebay purchase,

Don't know if there real of fake, really don't care. I dropped them

and broke a lens, My questions;

How do I determine the size lens to buy??

Lens color is dark black, this color is not on the Ray-Ban web site,

Any idea where to buy ??

@GreggC Lens type is G15 and size is 99% sure 62 mm as 58 shooters are rather rare and not even sure they exist in black chrome as i only saw Arista LIC shooters in 58.

Its a very common lens. In case you pair is vintage and made in USA my best suggestion would be to replace it with a vintage Bausch and Lomb lens.

Im not aware of the condition of your pair, but if they are just in average condition i might have a spare lens laying around

yeah unfortunately i find many on the internet. So might not care and "create" their ideal pair, but in my opinion its a shame. Anyway its free for everyone to do what they wanna do of course. As long its clear what people are buying...

You are correct,

I just got a chance to measure, 62mm.

Just a quick FYI...These were created out of need to put a comparable or superior lens on a NOS PM Titanium frame. The PM lenses in NOS condition have been impossible to find after more than a year searching. Personally, I think it's an excellent match and use for both lenses and frame with original PM leather case.  All done by a 30+ year professional in the business.
