i'm sure there's a time and a place for those. Our apartment is not one of them. A raw-vegan restaurant with a sidewalk chair theft probelm might be the ideal time and place.

A vegan would fall through the gaps.

What does your wife think of the Chair One? Her opinion is the one that actually matters.

you'll have to ask her. The good news is she is a nice person, so there's not much to lose.

Ha, okay.

If she thinks they're cool, what do I win?

if you win: your wife gets her own lightweight chair

if you lose: fabric seat covers
The fabric seat covers for the Chair One are pretty hideous, so losing is not an option.

I know you don't want to go the MCM route, but come on, this is painfully beautiful. Pricey.

We had those, when I was a child, always hated them.

What's to hate?

I like those, but find them a little clunky to handle. I prefer lightweight dining chairs.

We currently use fiberglass Eames-style chairs from Modernica. I hate how light they are. Feels like they will blow away with a soft breeze.
