Some really fun outfits, but Monkey's in the lead so far IMO. As I mentioned in the WAYWRN thread, red jacket/white trousers is perilously close to being a Butlins Redcoat, but the materials, cut and fit of the items, plus the use of the two ties, are more than enough to lift him out of that potential trap. Great stuff.

There are a few other people's fits in the main thread that could work as contest entries. For example, southernstyle, Angelicboris and TTO's most recent fits. I'm not sure if they meant their fits to be game for this week's fun or not, though.

For myself, I'll select the fit from yesterday that I posted upthread as my entry, if that's OK by Tirailleur. It's not what I originally wanted to wear for the contest, but I haven't needed to go out yet today, and if I do, I won't now be an outfit that will work for this week's theme anyway. By the way, T, I don't have a more elaborate tie-pin so had to make do with that one (I do have a more delicate silver one, but it wouldn't have gone with that outfit either).

original plan didn't pan out, the ivory silks need some tailoring. so...

rlpl x 3, zegna couture, hermes, vintage prl

hopefully the sockless exotic tassels count as an odd accessory. alternatively, i respectfully submit 5 patterns as an odd accessory.

SeJean I would be ok with your submission but I am not sure how other contestants feel. If noone complains then I will put you in the ballot.

Why yes.

I do believe that Stitchy is attempting to work our collective nerves. Besides, his wife's dresses all clash with his yarmulke.

Just remember, boychik, drag is not sprezzatura - it's just drag - and that it's the peacock who has the fancy plumage, not the peahen.

Cheers HF, I had no idea what a Butlins Redcoat was, but luckily google is much more knowledgeable than I am. I definitely see the resemblance, but I think what sets me apart from them is that my trousers are slightly off-white, and that my SC is a different shade of red, next to all the things you mentioned of course ;)
