ha! i put "shake and rattle" on my annual top 10 list when it came out. great band.
and come on guys, buffalo springfield and captain beefheart? if they're obscure, that's more a comment on the sad state of the american educational system and for that you're going to have to move to CE.

There's a guy named Tom Taber who has a pretty nice collection of "officially sanctioned" good quality bootlegs - fun stuff!

Does Golden Earring count? They have some famous songs but I don't think many people know who they are.

Also, this.

I dunno...Radar Love is straying into One Hit Wonder territory. For Dutch obscurity I'd go w/ Focus (or the Outsiders)....

Black Oak Arkansas anyone? confused.gif

Notice that many of the "obscure" bands that actually had multiple big hits had bland visual style? Then again, classic rock generally was associated with looking low-key. Bachman-Turner Overdrive - not a hugely successful band, but probably partly remembered because some of its members were particularly unstylish, as in "Bachman-Turner Overweight."

Takin' care of business! Pio should weigh in (no pun intended) on BTO and where they stand in the Canuck Pantheon. i'm inclined to believe they rise above the 'obscure' tag...

Re: the offshoot phenomenon Pio alluded to earlier: Who's got a Bloodwyn Pig record in their collection:confused:?
