slimfit dress shirts for disproportionate broke college junior

I hope you guys don't mind me starting a new thread. I've been searching the forum the last several hours, and I haven't seem to find a solution to my problem.

Can someone steer me in the right direction? So far, (from my styleforum searches) it appears that CTShirt's Extra Slim Fit and TM Lewin's fully tailored fit are the only clothes that fit remotely close to what I need.

I want a spread collar shirt (under $50) that's:
15.5 in neck
40 in p2p.
35 to 36 in across the waist

I'm having so much trouble finding something that fits me because of my neck size (my body measurements other than my neck appear to correspond more to a 14.5).

I'm getting the impression that I'm going to have to go MTM or custom in the future once I'm actually out of college and have a regular income. However, in the mean time, what do you suggest for a broke college student? Should I just buy a CTShirt Extra Slim Fit in a 15.5 and try to tailor it the best I can? I was looking at the measurements for a CT ESF (http://www.shirtdetective.com/charles-tyrwhitt-vs-brooks-brothers/), and it appears that I would need 2+ inches taken off the entire body of the shirt. I'm also figuring I'll need to get the sleeves slimmed too.

Can someone help a broke kid out? This is for my internship this summer.

if you are really broke then try thrifting some shirts and self tailoring them.

after one or two you should be ok.

moderntailor also has sales where you can get the custom shirts from 20-50

given your neck size that might be better

I thought about looking into moderntailor. However, I start my internship within a month, and it's not realistic to have a trial shirt done and then getting my shirts made in terms of time left.

The only shirts that come even close to fitting me halfway decent are H&M dress shirts surprisingly. 15.5 in neck with a 20 p2p. It could do with another inch in taper but other than that, they seem pretty decent in terms of fit.

I know the quality is pretty shoddy, but I figure I'll just buy 5-6 of those and wear it for this summer/my senior year around school then trash them and pick up some better quality MTM shirts for my fulltime gig.

Thanks for the reply, sparrow!
