First Experience - London Bespoke Suit under 2K - Page 3

Huh? Wouldn't it be too late for substantive changes once the suit is already complete.

I agree with the notion that there isn't much point on detailing changes at a basted stage, but he should definitely be vocal during subsequent fittings. As others have pointed out, this doesn't look impressive, and there is quite a bit of work to be done.

Maybe, but you have to let her do her job and have faith in her. If its a train wreck on completion I'd expect the maker to make it right, either by alterations, remake or a refund it's as simple as that. If this doesn't happen your not dealing with a professional.

I could point out what I would address at this fitting but it just wouldn't be proper.

Shouldn't we wait until the next fitting before rushing to judgment?

OP - please post pictures and do not be too discouraged.  There's very little on the boards about Elizabeth Radcliffe and it is always helpful to get first-hand reviews of the off-Row tailors.

I am not worried, like people have said it is a baste fitting and cannot expect it to be perfect on the first go.

Will keep everyone updated once I have had my 2nd fitting.

Did you discuss the cut with Ms Radcliffe?

Yes I did.

Absolutely, that's what fittings are for it's the final product that counts.

be honest, I'm not in love with the cut and the shoulder fit looks a bit wonky to me, but lets see what happens on the next fitting.

Nothing since July? How did this suit turn out? I'm curious.

Is Elizabeth Radcliffe still in business? I was in contact with her a couple of months ago, now would like to go ahead with a suit but nothing... website down, no replies to emails or phone calls. Anyone got any info?

I had a great shirt made by Elizabeth about a year ago. It fits really well and so I contacted her to have another made late last year. She informed me that she had got a position in the USA as a master tailor - an opportunity too good to turn down. I look forward to her return...

Was the OP's suit ever finished - it would have been good to have seen some later images - as ever another half a story on here.

It seems that Elizabeth Radcliffe now works for Levi's -- making bespoke jeans.

So what this is saying is that her own business was not going to well so she has taken employment in an MTM product area. actually a useful service which is tempting.

Hi Guys

I am not getting updated on my email with replies to the thread and completely forgot.

Will post up pictures of my suit soon.

She told me about her Levi's job. I was under the impressions she was doing it on top of her regular bespoke work.

When you do it would be interesting to see views of the trousers, front and rear without the coat and also the full inside of the coat to be able to see Ms Ratcliffe's work as a whole, Thanks
