Looking for a versatile boot as part of my "basics"

Mostly for denim wear. At work, on the street or in the club.

I found a bunch on Zappos.com. Since Ive never tried this style before, Im keeping my budget under $200. Actually the less I can spend the better because Im going to be upgrading just about everything in my wardrobe over the next few months.

Here goes:

Calvin Klein - Mendel (not a boot, but slip-on style)
http://www.zappos.com/n/br/b/1192.html

Donald J Pliner (above my target price)
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7158722/c/11448.html

Zengara (price is nice.. but what about quality??)
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7255882/c/1590.html

Red Wing - Crosby boot (price and quality are good, what about the style?)
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7256300/c/3.html

Puma - Stecca (not versatile?)
http://www.zappos.com/n/br/b/1009.html

Stonefly (this might work)
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7252090/c/3.html

GBX (not sure about the style on this one)
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7278184/c/79334.html

Stacy Adams - Nevin (These look great - does the low price mean low quality?)
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7258826/c/6.html

Sorry theres so many listed here, but Im clueless at this point and everything is an option.

Thanks!

Maybe I am being predictable, but why not just get some nicer chelase boots instead of any of those? Paying 150+ for most of those is frankly absurd in my books. Even the Charles Tyrwhitt/Loake chelseas will be around that price and at least will last you much longer...

Edit:
While I thought about it, I did not post it - thx tiger02. RMW's are an excellent choice, the quality/cost ratio is very high.

ctshirts.co.uk. There may or may not be a 50% off link floating around. You should be able to try them on in the CT shop in NYC. Those are a very good choice, made by Brit company Loake. I think chelseas are one of the natural carryovers where streetwear and MC types can both be happy.

Sorry, Men's Clothing. Referring to the sometimes-psychologically-large divide between the two subfora, "SW&D" and "MC." Those who post in both are, in my opinion, some of the best dressed dudes on here. Tom
