Anyone any insights why the Cifo brothers always seem to have such massive tie knots (a la the Duke)?

This certainly does; just not always sure about the younger generation's big knots...

It depends on the days. I met her in the shop when passing my order. She's very nice. Both are extremely polite as you would expect from Japanese persons.

The first time I went, he was not around, only her. She was very polite, but very firm about not letting me take any pictures.

When I went back, and I finally met him, I had to twist his arm but he did finally let me take some pictures.

If you gotta be dictator, you gotta be stylish: Omar Bongo wore Francesco Smalto.

If you gotta be a crooked French politician, you got to be stylish : François Fillon wore Arnys

African dictators have been long-term clients of French tailors

True. This one really is an idiot. I remember an interview in a French magazine. I think his property (50'000 sq. ft.) on the Avenue Foch has been seized by the French authorities following an investigation for embezzlement of funds.
