Received a suit from Black Lapel. Please critique :)

Also, the sleeves are too long (probably not news) and the jacket looks too short, at least in the back.
Actually, I don't think the sleeves are too long - his shirt sleeves are a bit long.

The jacket collar stands away from your shirt collar, way too much as mentioned. The front looks decent. The only thing I'm surprised about is that, though the jacket looks too short, I don't see much of your hind quarters! Mine reaches my thumbs and it covers my butt only by 1 or two inches. I wear my trousers at the proper height and most of my height is in my legs.

Both sets of sleeves are too long.

In looking again, lordosis possibly is present, creating a vaguely pregnant look from the side. Tailoring is needed, regardless of the cause.

Thanks everybody for the feedback!
Very much appreciated. Talked to the tailor today and he had pretty much more or less the same opinion.

And yeah, the side-picture definitely had a lordosis (forward head).

Cheers!

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to update on my experience.
I sent the same pictures to the concierge and Black Lapel decided to automatically gave me a full remake (no extra charge). =)

Jay gave me a nice call and essentially guide me exactly what to remeasure. It`s one of those little touches that made me think that they truly do care about making their customers happy. (imo)

I'm pretty happy with the remake. I`ve worn it a few times at work and got compliments too (always nice to get mood-boost on a 8am workday).

Cheers!
Have a nice weekend everyone. =)

p-s: Quebec`s weather have been rainy for the past WEEKS (honestly feels like winter) (which explains the lighting in the pic)

Trousers are a bit short still. Looks better. You should take your pictures such that the light shines on you, instead of from behind you and onto the camera. The pictures are still very very poor. Open up the other blinds in the future.

I hope their customer service isn't really good only in the beginning and deteriorates as they increase their client base, thus caring less and less about specific clients. I've contacted them myself just to ask questions about styling, particularly roped shoulders and the hand-padded canvas & full canvassing. I plan on using them in a year or so and pray it stays top notch.

You might also get in the habit of situating your jacket and posture so the collar tucks nicely around your neck.
