Are my pants too tight in the seat?

It's more common to see people wearing jeans and chinos than slacks where I live. Lately I have been trying to get away from relaxed fit jeans and go for something more form fitting if you want to call it that. I do have thicker thighs, but don't feel uncomfortable wearing slim cut jeans and actually prefer the feel and look of them (especially the size of the leg opening). I bought a pair of 505 and 514 levis as well as a couple of pairs of slim cut express chinos. Trying them on they felt really comfortable. I have a short torso and another thing I am trying to avoid is looking like I'm wearing a dress or a tunic. When trying putting on some of the shirts with the pants, I noticed that the outline of my butt was fairly apparent in the pants. Not having eyes in the back of my head or having spent time staring at men walking away from me, I'm not sure if I'm being self conscious or what. Can anyone comment on if this is normal, if I should try a different cut of pants...

The cut isn't right for you- it looks like the pants are being sucked into a black hole in your ass
