I think that the Baby Bulls have ditched their diapers. They can beat anyone.

Golden State just whooped the Mavs. I'm starting to actually believe they can win. Dirk looked terrible, definitely not MVP material.

Not that he looked good or anything, but Dirk looked less terrible than anyone else on the Mavs' roster last night. That was just an epic beatdown. If it had been a boxing match, it would have been called in the third or fourth round. Awe inspiring to watch--I can't remember a single hustle play in the entire game that didn't go to the Warriors. EDIT: Also, I didn't see the game, but Jason Kidd's stat line last night was ridiculous.

Yeah, the Raps got thrashed in every meaningful way in game 3. Watching them launch no-conscience jumpers while the Nets get run-out dunks and dominate the paint is really making me sick!

It could be all over today.

I was worried when the series started (desperately wanted Washington to hold on to the 6-hole) and it has gone just as I feared. The Nets have dogged it all year and are turning it on in the playoffs as only a veteran team can do, while the Raps cannot get any traction from their bench -- the only reason they got the 3-slot in the East over the course of a l-o-n-g season.

The only reason the Raps got the three slot is because the Nets lost RJ for 21 games and Nenad Krstic for the entire season. It's pretty clear that the Nets are the best team in the Atlantic (not that that's saying much) and the only reason they fell behind is because of injury troubles. I think the Nets are something like 15-8 since RJ returned and would have had a much better record had Krstic been healthy.

If Nowitzky becomes this year MVP (most likely) and the Mavs get ousted by Golden State, it will be a perfect example of everything wrong with the voting process. Dirk shows little, if any, leadership when the stake is high and is practically useless on defense. And the MVP, contrary to popular belief, doesn't have to be awarded to the best player on the winning-est team.

Kobe Bryant deserves it much more. Similar (albeit less convincing IMO) arguments can also be made for Nash or McGrady.

Yeah, so the Heat got swept... this is crazy. They couldn't even pull out a Game 4 win at home to avoid elimination.

Raps are flaming out ...

No draft picks this year -- wonder if there are any more rabbits in Colangelo's hat?

If the Nets keep playing at this level, there's no reason why they can't make a run for the Eastern Conference title.

If Jason continues to average a triple double they'll be damn near unstoppable. Did you see his stat line from the other game? If was sick!
