Suit Collar creased, wrinkled... any solution?

Hi,

I have this suit jacket for a while, but recently, I found out that the collar looks terrible... any idea what might cause the collar to look like this? Any way on how to fix it?

No... everything else seems fine, except the look of it. My thought is that it may need a little press at the collar, but want to make sure with SFers first if that's the case...

Anyone can help?

If its just a normal wrinkle, you can just steam it, but if the threads are pulling out just get a professional tailor to fix it wont cost you more than $10

What do I tell the tailors to do? Or they will know?

I'd bet that that puckered collar is a result of the indiscriminate application of steam, either by yourself or by a cleaner.

If you got it back from a cleaner in that condition, my best advice is to find a cleaner that's able to press a perfectly symmetrical light crease from gorge seam to gorge seam. It's not difficult. But the cleaner actually has to care about their work.

When you visit a fine mens clothing store, you'll probably notice that all the mens suits and sport coats are neatly arranged and that every jacket has a perfectly symmetrical crease at the rear of the collar. If a clothing factory can produce that perfectly rounded collar, there's no reason why your cleaner can't do the same.

Collar integrity aside and even taking into account the bending position, it seems too high on the neck. Ditto for the shirt collar. The jacket appears not to fit well elsewhere, too. Therefore, the collar is even less worth trying to repair.

Any good tailor will definitely know what to do as soon as he sees it.

Because they have opinions about clothes. Think about that. Clothes. Is that really something to get worked up over? I promise you that GBR thinks nothing at all about your objection to his comment. Why should you get upset over his? If you disagree with it, say so. But don't get all butthurt over it. We all come here for a certain amount of criticism. If not what would be the purpose? A nothing but complimentary wank fest? No thanks. Responses can be harsh, but this isn't a PMS support group. It's a place to judge clothes.

I am not looking for any complimentary at all, but I asked specific question about the issues. However, I believe if one doesn't have an answer for that, then why one should replies unrelated matter?
