To make this quick, I can't decide if having a few days of growth looks good on me or not. My beard is pretty thin on my cheeks, but its much thicker on my chin. I've always though it looks kind of lame to try to wear a beard before it's developed fully; thin beards look pretty akward. This past month I saw a model in GQ (i think) with a very thin beard, with probably two days growth, and it looked good on him.
The reason this is so important is that my jawline has no definition. I'm not sure why this is, but it makes my face look very weird, almost like you cant tell where my face ends and my neck begins. My hair is dark, so it kind of outlines my face in a very flattering way. At the same time my chin is a little weak, and it helps with that too. It's gotten to the point where my perceptions have changed enough that I don't like the way i look clean shaven, although I dont have a beard trimmer so I try to shave at night at least, when I have to. Right now I have about 4 days growth, and thats about where I'll draw the line and decide to shave again. By the way, im 21, and while my dad wears a beard, I dont think my grandfather on my mothers side did, so im not sure what beard genetics I have.
