Yeah, I did notice that they were still around last season, when they went down to 40-60% off at some places. That seems to be the routine with the items I buy from them, besides the sweatpants, I tend to wait.

I can't speak for everything, but the Westpoint Chinos are quite slim through the thigh, but have a pretty roomy top block and waistband. The chino shorts (from S/S '13, at least) also are quite roomy.

Damn, I just ordered a pair in my regular size. Might be returning these...

I prolly wouldn't sweat it too much. The brand runs fairly slim to begin with. I'm normally a 28 in most brands, and the Westpoint Chinos in 28 fit me very well throughout the thighs and legs, with more room in the top block than I'm used to, but I would describe it as a good (and versatile) fit. The waist is about an inch too big for me, though, so I do have to wear a belt. But if I sized down to fit my waist, they would definitely be too tight in the thighs, and this is a sentiment that seems pretty common for most.

The chino shorts fit the same, except with minimal tapering in the thighs.

If the chinos fit well everywhere but the waist, you could always have them taken in slightly by a tailor.

I have a shitload of WP chinos but no shorts. Wonder why the discrepancy in sizing.

I *could* wear them without a belt and they wouldn't fall off my legs, but it just feels a bit weird to have that waistband gap flapping around. I prefer to wear a belt anyways, and the waistband doesn't bunch up badly when I do. Also, I'm super skinny, so if I ever gain weight, they'll fit nicely hahah.

I expected the shorts to be WP chinos cut off above the knee as well, but when I tried them on, the combination of the roomier top block + waistband, and the straighter cut of the thigh made them fit as if they were a size bigger. But like I mentioned, I'm quite skinny, so the effect was pretty noticeable for me. it might still work out for you.

I had old black chinos that I had hemmed into shorts that are basically perfect. First world problems.

Stuff seems to be trickling pretty slow into the US retailers (aside from Acrimony). Need Supply also has a few items. I went there in person last weekend to check some things out. All they had in stock in the store was the black/black varsity and the quilted vest. The Varsity is cool, whatever..but a steep price tag relative to two other similar/comparable options (ToJ and Unis) which are both priced below 5 bills. The black wool had a nice hand to it, but had that quality where it attracts every bit of dust, lint etc within a 10 ft radius. For anyone curious, the sizing was true to tagged size, but slim, per normal w+h sizing. I am between a S and M in most brands and what undoubtedly have worn a M in that. They had the oxblood hoody as well (they had it on the website but not in store, which is one of my complaints with Need...but I digress). Nice color from the pics i've seen but just not sure i need another $200+ hoodie in my life. I do like that they do the high neck/"scuba" design on the F/W hoodies though.

Tweed west points at Acrimony are cool based on the description and photos. I'm torn and back and forth on their perceived versatility for me personally though. Could get them. And the herringbone hat.... i'm a sucker for nice hats. I will pay $85 bucks for an ebbets field cap, and I know they're nice, but i wish they would have just put a small "made for w+h" tag in it. That said, I feel embarrassed for even being concerned and mentioning such a petty detail. Herringbone blazer looks cool and i think i'd pay retail. No US stockist have it as of yet. I think the winter delivery (not sure when that comes out) will hold some more desirable stuff for me. I want to see the heavy slub blazer when that comes out among some other things. I'm not feeling the colorblock stuff . Wish they still did the 2-pack tees. I like the made for steven alan shirt jackets, maybe catch one of those on sale.
