Up for sale is a beautiful 95% cotton 5% genuine leather Domenico Vacca safari jacket. This jacket would go perfectly over a suit on a chilly day, on jeans and a t-shirt, or any other combination you could think of.

It is very stylish, but also traditionally grounded so it won't go out of style. It really is a timeless piece.
The size tagged is a 52R, but it is a Vacca and therefore it is a fitted jacket. I am a 38R, but it was a little too big for me. It just didn't look as fitted as I wanted it to. But it would be perfect for a size 52, or possible on a 54 or a 40.

It has a whole bunch of genuine horn buttons (very classic and luxurius), authentic horn 2-way zipper pull (appears to be horn or resin), silk tailor's tape through out the interior covering all the seams, and is made of a hefty fine cotton that has a bit of a sheen. There is very soft and plush genuine leather lining the collar, the inner sleeve ends, and the bottom waist pockets. It is double vented. It really is top craftsmanship; every detail was looked into. You won't be dissapointed.

I am selling the jacket for $525 shipped. It really is beautiful...

I sold the same model and color jacket to a forum member a year and a half ago. It is a really nice piece. The zipper pulls are resin. The taping on the inside of the jacket looks spectacular. You should post a picture of it. I think that it is best for a size 42. It is a little big for a true size 40 with a drop of more 7 or more (which I was at the time.)

It really is an amazing jacket. The versatility is it's strongest qualities. I love the sophisticated casual elegance look it gives off. This style jacket is very popular in Milan and Napoli.

I hate the fact that it is too big for me, I was absolutely loving the look of it and was anticipating getting it. I will post a pic of the inside taping (like LA GUY said, it really is spectacular. It is a burgandy color and it works its way all through the jacket).

Yep, and I enjoy it regularly. Great jacket!

Edit, I bought the navy one, so there is another lucky fellow out there. But same comment applies!

Where can one find this jacket, if at all, in stores? Preferably one on the West Coast.

If you are talking about this particular jacket, than really only two places: (1) in a Domenico Vacca boutique; or (2) from someone who's selling the jacket after purchasing it from a Vacca boutique.
I think there is a Vacca store on the west coast, but obviously they probably don't have the same jacket anymore. Plus, it would retail close to (if not over) $2000.

I really think that Vacca's version of the safari jacket is the best out there, period. But ofcourse, you may find another version of the safari jacket from another maker that you'd like.

It's from last summer season so I'm not sure one could find it in a Vacca store
