Help with Indochino Remake Adjustments

I recently received an Indochino suit that does not fit. The lapel bows out and there is a large gap in the collar. IC is going to remake it but I need to tell them what to adjust. My local tailors were not very useful because they didn't understand that I was going to have it remade. Do I need the chest size increased? Stomach too? Any suggestions would be great. I sent IC pics and they just told me to send them my adjustments. Note: I have muscular shoulders/chest for my frame. Thanks.

Holy shit, that collar gap. Gotta be the worst I've seen on ANY coat.

I'll leave this one to the pros, but coat looks a bit short? Add 1". Chest has a glaring X crease, so add there too.

Let us know how your final suit turns out...If I were you, I'd just ask for a refund though. That collar gap is very severe, and I'm not sure if trying to fix it over emails will work out that well...

Get your money back, another example of the failings of Indochino.

Since Indochino will remake it for free and is not being very helpful figuring out what adjustment I should make, I think I'm just going to tack on 2.25" to the chest and an 1" to the length and see what happens. Kind of surprising it was this far off since I was fitted by one of their "traveling tailors." A couple of my friends swear by them once you get your measurements right... we'll see.

that really is not the way to get a decent suit, especially as their so-called "tailors" (in reality salesmen with minimal training) was involved. Get your money back.

Do you have a suggestion on how to acquire a reasonable and quality suit? I'm a 41R off the rack with a 31" pant waist... would like to find a brand or a tailor that I can consistently use.

Thanks

I'd also try to get your money back. Those skinny lapels and gorge on shoulders are just ridiculous looking along with the high buttoning point. Even with the length and chest fixed it still wouldn't look quite right.

There's a whole thread for Indochino http://www.styleforum.net/t/52943/indochino-suits

+1 to this. That's ugly. They've switched to using a really soft, light lapel/collar material. That's a part of the problem. Send the picture to the customer concierge, and get their input. They know how their measurements work better than we do. I'd increase the chest by about an inch and the waist by about a half of an inch. Fixing that collar gap is the major problem, lol.

+1 to this too. Their "travelling tailor" event is really just a marketing tactic. It helps Indochino to get sales, but the "tailors" and stylists don't actually improve the customer's likelihood of getting a good outfit. It's all show. They're just minimally trained temporary salespeople. My order from the TT was by far my worst.

Thanks I'm going to give it another shot with some adjustments and reg lapel...the narrow lapel seems problematic to me
