LeatherFoot: Official Affiliate Thread - Page 15

Last night after dinner with a friend I was walking back to Hazelton Lanes where I had parked and acccidently went a different route and was surprised to see this store. It's long overdue for Toronto and I hope they do well and keep in business. I spoke to the fellow in the store and he said they are going to be stocking up on Lobb in January and should have about 90% of their models.

You're doing this quite deliberately to tip me over the St. Crispin's edge, aren't you?

I enjoyed checking out the new line today - I may just have to pop back in on Friday.

Hey fellow Canadians,

Anybody interested in a carmina mto through LF?

I'm thinking a calf/cord chukka or interesting double monk. Any takers? We obviously can avoid shipping hassles if we can do it locally. Also, LF is a great and friendly operation.

I was planning to order a suede chukka on a crepe sole, something like this

what do you think? could be a very comfortable and versatile piece.

A double monk MTO would get my attention. Of course, it would depend on the last and leather. Cordovan preferably.

othertraveler - do you take a narrower-fitting last in Carmina, or a wider fit?

A two-eyelet chukka like the one below, but in a snuff suede would interest me:

I use the Simpson last; don't know if that answers your question though.

Yes it does answer my question - Simpson is a very narrow-fitting last, which effectively rules me out of joining you in an MTO.  I wish you luck though.  It would be cool to see a Canadian MTO come together.

I would be very interested in this as well.

I'm actually more interested in a foul weather boot with inclement weather on the horizon for the next six months. Good luck with your group MTO.
