i owe a huge thank you to leatherfoot.

i was looking all over for these carminas and no one had them in stock, nor were they able to make a single order for me without going MTO. i thought paying MTO for a shoe that was in production exactly as i wanted, was silly. so i decided to keep looking.

i found the shoe on the leatherfoot website, but sadly it was out of stock in my size. i contacted the store via email and asked if an order could be placed for me. i was graciously accommodated, and i am immensely appreciative of them for it. i had a few phone conversations with arne as well, and he could not be a nicer, more helpful gent.

the customer service throughout was superb, and i can not recommend them highly enough.

but enough words...

Nice shoes, Stitchy. Can I ask how you guys handle shipping from Canada to the States? Have you encountered any customs/duty issues?

We do ship to the United States on regular basis and there are very few delays. A client from the United States would not pay any Canadian taxes, but would be responsible for import duties into the United States. This cannot be collected at the time of purchase because we have no affiliation with the government that collects this tax. It will be paid to UPS at the time of delivery. It is approximately 8% of the cost of the shoes.

Thanks for the reply, but damn, I wish it wasn't that easy: your stock is way too enticing.

That's actually a good deal. VAT in Ontario is 13%.
