Thinking about stopping by this shop next time I’m in New York. How does the quality compare to say Carmina? I know both are made in Spain.

I haven't worn Carmina, but now have 4 pairs of Justin's shoes (after visiting his shop in September). I agree that they are very easy to break in- only the cap toe oxfords that I bought have required any breaking in at all. The chukkas and 2 pairs of suede derbies have been a breeze.

Justin's factory is the same one that Septième Largeur uses, so if you've tried 7L you'll be getting very similar quality.

Anybody owns Carmina loafers in Simpson?

I'm looking at the Hawthorne model (butterfly loafer). I wear Carmina Simpson loafers in 7.5, it's a little bit more voluminous than I'd like but I cannot size down to 7 due to length issue. The problem is I have very low instep. Should I take the same size 7.5 for the Hawthorne or 7?

Does J Fitzpatrick ever do across the board sales? “Father’s Day 10% off” type sales. I found something I really like on their website but I’m not in any rush to order if there might be a discount opportunity on the horizon.
