TRADE: Wolverine 1000 Mile Boot "Austen" 10 D / Euro 43 / UK 9

Will Ship To: USA

OK, this breaks my heart. I love these boots. Unfortunately, they feel a little too snug. Maybe the leather simply needs a good break-in period. Who knows? Personally, I’d rather have a nice chukka boot. (Chukka boots always seem to fit me perfectly.)

Anyway…this is a wonderful pair of Wolverine 1000 Mile "Austen" lace-up boots in almost new condition. (I've worn them maybe five or six times.) The Wolverine 1000 Mile boot line is 100% MADE IN USA. The leather is genuine Horween Predator leather. (According to Horween, “Predator is a waxed and tumbled full grain leather. The wax used on the leather is burnishable and will wear very well over time. This is a chrome tanned leather with a heavy vegetable retannage.”) The leather is durable, thick, and supple and made to last a very, very long time. It's also a wonderful "pull-up" leather, which means as it moves and wears, it temporarily shows discoloration where it rubs against anything. (The perfect example is a light fingernail scratch. The scratch shows easily until you rub the leather, then the scratch disappears. In fact, in one of the photos, you can see on the back of one of the heels where I had my boot kicked up on my coffee table a few minutes earlier. The scuff marks look hard and rugged, but they disappeared with 10 seconds of rubbing my thumb across the leather after the photoshoot. It's a really cool leather.) The “pull-up” feature adds to the classic worn-in, rugged look of the Wolverine 1000 Mile boot line. In addition to the Wolverine 1000 Mile line's well-known level of leather awesomeness, I also treated these boots with Venetian Shoe Cream upon arrival. What else can I say about these Wolverine 1000 Mile boots? They have a genuine Vibram rubber heel and half-sole (crisp edges, zero visible wear), so rain and wet pavement is easy breezy. My favorite feature is that the heels have a sweet, sculpted flare to them that I absolutely adore! (I’m starting to second guess this trade idea! LOL)

The retail price of these boots is $445 (one of the most expensive in the Wolverine 1000 Mile line) and they are in almost new condition.

The size is USA 10D / Euro 43 / UK 9. (In my opinion, the Austen model fits true-to-size.)

I’d like to trade for a nice quality chukka boot—Alden, whatever. I’ll consider trading up and paying a little cash too. (Depending on the boot, of course.) And I know it's not a chukka, but for some reason I love that Alden Indy. =)

Please feel free to ask questions. Happiness guaranteed.

Thanks,
Christopher

EDIT: I'm adding a quick photo of the heel after rubbing away the scuff marks. I love this pull-up leather! =) No takers yet, so I may send these boots off to Ebay tonight. In the meantime...
