I was surprised to notice the other day that one of my Borsalino's was part of the "Rainproof Line" and made of "Water Repellent Fur Felt".

Does that mean I can wear it in the rain - no matter how hard? What do you do when you get home as far as caring for it when it is wet?

I have always been scared to wear my hats in the rain.

(PS. I like that one)

I cannot speak for Borsalino's line of "rainproof" hats. Today's hat is made of polyester microfiber, and is absolutely water repellent. It was obtained cheaply (about $12 USD) form a discounter (now defunct, unhappily) in lower Manhattan, and for rainy days, it does the job, and doesn't look bad at all.

You might want to run that across the guys over at The Fedora Lounge. Lots of hat info over there.

They aren't big fans of modern Borsalinos over at the Fedora Lounge; highly ridiculed as a rule.

nephew,
place the hat on its hat rack and let it dry and in 12 hours to 24 hours it will be fine
