How would you guys suggest washing a silk tee? Contemplating drycleaning.

Depends how you want it to look. For the crisp new feeling sure, dry clean, but I personally like the way silk looks after a few hand washes, gives it a nice vintage feel and luster quality. Just use a high quality detergent. I use "The Laundress"

Delicate or darks is what I get and it does a great job. I believe it's from Chanel designers, but either way, it's pretty cheap and lasts a long time.

I've washed by hand in a tub, fill small bin with water, little detergent, put the shirt in, move it around, them let soak for 30-40 mins, came out feeling brand new after hang drying.

Now I've put it in a washer as well, then hang dry, and this method really messed up the feel of the tee, bad idea. Lol

So I would say hand wash.

Also, if you would like to purchase the other tees you shouldn't have much of a problem.

I've found the Silk U neck is the only tee that reallllllly suffers from the lazy lip thing when being worn/or after a wash. The rest should be fine currently once they are on/the correct size

Thanks! do you happen to know if all the existing tees on the site have the updated neck already?

so how does that work? any crew or u-neck you purchase as of now would have the new reinforced neck-line?

if that's true then i'd imagine there would have to be plenty of tees with the old neckline unless they were salvaged.

All of the Mercer Tees have the new added stitch detail. We are phasing it in to other products. This is an improvement more than it was a problem. We are constantly working to improve our products through stitch details, fabric choices, and hardware.
