The weave on the new boucle gives it a really weird stripe effect. Definitely prefer last year's version.

Seeing the old one kind of makes me want to pick one up now. Definitely agree about the stripes effect.

Thanks for the pics @jbidwal and @nsubrmnn

The boucle from this year looks good.  It's great that JE changed it around a bit so since I do have the grey boucle sweater from last year, so I could cop the black one without it being too much of an identical item.  My boucle sweater is at my other pad so I went through my phone to see any older pictures I took of it if anyone wanted to get a better idea of how FW15 compares to FW16 in terms of style.  I do prefer last years cut, with the oversized feel and raw neck, but it's all a personal preference.  Both Boucle items, the sweater especially, are for sure worth the price tag.  I got a crap ton of wear out of this for last Fall-Spring

I don't know, most people seem to be turned off when I have to explain the whole advantage of JE having some of their stuff made there, especially since JE is known for quality basics and made in USA/Japan.
It's almost like trying to sell a Burberry shirt (unfortunately tags say made in China) to a Chinese consumer who expects quality European stuff. 🤐

I went with xs. It will stretch a bit too with wear.

It's fairly thick for NorCal too. It doesn't feel too hot though so the thickness doesn't necessarily mean too warm.

Given how much thicker the new boucle is, the design could have changed a bit imo. Put a proper hem and get rid of the back seam maybe. It's basically a chunky sweater now

thanks for posting the pics -- definitely dig the older boucle version more and will be keeping mine.

on an off topic note -- looking at SLP chelsea boots. anyone know how sizing would compare to CP achilles?

That's crazy to me. My CP's are a snug 41 and my slp Chelseas in a 41 (suede) and 41.5 (calf) fit a bit bigger

Does anyone have pics of the sashiko panel denim in black? They keep selling out in my size 28 and I have yet to pull the trigger because I haven't seen any pics/reviews.

I know someone recommended the acne studios selo bomber amidst the whole discussion about the bogota. Was wondering how it fits, debating between 46 and 48 rn. Don't want it to be super puffy, I'm a M in all JE

I think it was me :) I have last season Selo Bomber which was a little more padded and puffy that the new one, but sizing should be the same. I am size L in JE and have Selo in 48 and it is still not slim fit, but I think it is just the style of the jacket.  I think you should go with 46.

Can't believe I missed the live chat. Did anyone ask about a restock on Hanoi's in the future?
