Hey guys,

Can anyone weigh in on how much the villain hoodie stretches?  I have broad shoulders with small waist and when I tried the medium on it was a very fitted hoodie to the point where wearing the mercer tank underneath - the pocket can be seen pressing outwards.  The large still fits great in the shoulders but the body is bigger and the pocket on the mercer still protrudes a bit (tried a white villain on).  I was just wondering people's thoughts on the stretch factor because I remember several posts ago that some made it seem like it stretches a lot and will go back after washing.

Any thoughts/opinions appreciated.

Thanks

It stretches a bit but not a ton. It will also go back to its original size after washing. If it's as tight on you as you suggest, I'd get a large.

Hey, I was wondering what your height, weight, waist and chest are? It'll help me choose a size on that hoodie bc I'm broad on the shoulder with a small waist as well. I def don't want anything too fitted

@ 4frnt - Thanks! @ srizvi722 Hey im about 5 feet 7 - 8 inches tall.  Haven't weighed myself in awhile but id venture between 160 to 170 (sorry if that's vague but truly haven't stepped on a scale in quite some time.  My waist which I found out I'm used to wearing jeans that are too big for me is 29 and that has room (no vanity sizing).  Chest measures a lil over 40 inches.

For me I went and tried on the mercer tanks and crews.  I like the tank because of the how the bottom hem is shaped like the villain (looking forward to mercer crews) but sadly the pocket part protrudes on me definitely for medium and a little on the large but not sure if that is because i mainly tried on the white one. Let me know if you need anything else =)

I have basically the same measurements as the J.E. model for reference...

Great thanks for the sizing advice.  I'm 5' 10", 140lb..I'm going with the Medium. John Elliott stuff is great for heavy rotation! I've been wearing their tees non stop. Comfortable and solid quality!

How do you care for the shirts? Do you machine wash and hang dry or flat dry?

I machine wash cold on a light cycle. Then I just hang dry (fold on a hanger like you would to pants..and hang on my shower rod--I'm in NYC for grad school so I'm limited on space here >.<)
So far the shirts are still in perfect condition
