I also got one of everything - we'll see what they look like!

For those who picked up raw edge sweatpants, how are you all wearing it? I need to see pics. I'm starting to dislike mine. Good study sweats though. Cannot deny the comfort.

getting too Alladiny for ya now eh bra? I've got the oaks, sized down to a medium. I don't wear them normal like that I pull mine up a bit higher so they're cropped and they tighten and stay in place. I wear kith invisible socks w/ shoes bc I don't really like the cropped with socks look. Inside i'll wear them that way without socks. I even wore them a few times this way w sandals in the warmer days. Sometimes I'll hide the drawstrings. Regular it's too ballooney for me, I'd rather wear escos or other. I still think that looks aiight tho

Thanks for the tips about the Gap pre-release. I just ordered a dual zip, a cropped hoodie, and the sweatpants. These are all french terry and very close to the same patterns as mainline John Elliott so I’m interested to compare the two. I don’t share the same preconceptions about the quality of the Gap collection as some of the other posts, especially regarding the sweats. Gap does enormous volumes which gets them lower production costs. They also go direct to consumer which means they can afford a lower margin than JE who goes to retailers with most items.  If Gap wanted, they could sell an exact copy of John Elliott sweats at around half the price.  Most Gap stuff sucks because they cater to a broad audience who desire cheap clothes, not because they aren’t capable of producing high quality clothing. I don’t expect the JE x Gap sweats to be exactly like JE mainline, but I expect them to be close. Excited to see this stuff in person.

Never said Aladdin. They're no harem pant. Sizing down is pretty essential on them. I think wearing them with sliders would actually look pretty dope, never thought about doing that. I wore it pulled up with socks and some Achilles lows. Looked ok. With the mid Achilles they look pretty bad. Escobars are just too damn epic that nothing compares

Yea only playing. I wear them cropped with a low cut athletic type shoe (grey or black nike roshe flyknit w the leather panel) or the new flyknit prestos and the invisi sock. It would look not as good with a dressier shoe like CPs or even the JE hi tops I think..

Looking forward to seeing some fit pics of the parachute jacket if anyone gets one in this week, one of my must have pieces from FW16

I was able to get 30% off the last je gap collab. All you have to do is phone in and say you forgot to use a promo code. The lady told me the code doesn't apply to the collection but gave it to me anyways. Hope this helps!

Got shipping notification for Gap sweats. Might not get to me until the end of the week, though.
