Interested in this as well.

The rag and bone denim has a lot more stretch in it, and definitely doesn't have the same denim quality you'd find from Acne or JE. You definitely get what you pay for, not to say that the rag and bone denim isn't nice or worth the money because it definitely is. You get a much more skinny and tapered look right out of the box and the stretch allows for a fairly narrow leg opening (5.5"-6" i believe) without risking ppl not being able to get their feet in. If you're looking for a quality staple pair of denim you don't yet have, I'd go acne.

Really digging the dark navy escobar's but not buying anymore of them until JE address the stitching problem near the knee panels and the hem connecting the elasticized cuff. They always become undone for me after ~5 wears. Has happened with my black, grey, grey duo, midnight, and olive esco's, even on the richmond pant in black from the bergdorf capsule near the cuff. Bothered me so I ended up selling them all. Has this been an issue for anyone else or just me? Really interested in hearing feedback on this matter? It's literally the only thing holding me back from buying any more esco's at all. And I don't abuse them either, I wear them casually.

Anybody know if there's any plans/chance that the newly released (and mostly sold out) denim (i.e. - Neros, Plumas, Harlots) will make it to other online vendors?  They're selling out so fast on the JE site especially in the larger sizes.

They'll release at other retailers. Don't know the time line.

Thanks so much for this review - very helpful. Agreed on the R&B being stretchy, I had the chance to try a pair on but hadn't been able to do the same with Acne. Which cut would you say is the most similar to JE - Ace or Thin? I have the Springs and really like them, though they've stretched quite a bit with wear, especially on the waist. If anything, I'd be interested in something a touch more tapered at the knee and down. Looking at the fit visualizer, it looks like JE is almost a blend of the two cuts measurement-wise.

Most of the season 8 denim will definitely be releasing at other retailers. If you go to a few sites you will see the product pics of other John Elliott stuff wearing the denim, which is a pretty good indicator they will stock it.

The Neros are not going to be stocked anywhere else though, those are donezo unless Barney's has your size (in store).

Not too sure man... started yesterday morning and a lot of the good sizes are going quick so I would try and get down there for opening today. Copped a grey dual flash... not sure why it's taken me so long to get one

Sounds like a you problem.  No offense.  But don't you think you see more of this issue from members of this forum if it actually were an issue?

That said - I am sure JE Customer Service will accommodate you.  They really are terrific - some of the best I've encountered through ANY vendor.

I can't speak to the ace but the thin is very skinny. I'm a 29 in JE, and ended up with a 31 in the acne thins. The girl at the store told me that their black denim doesn't stretch much at all and the 30s were uncomfortably tight around the waist. I did end up having my acne thins tapered from the knee but I could compare the cut of my acne and je pairs when I get home if you want

None taken. But for the past year and a half I've been in nursing school, which entailed me to be sitting down most of the time, if not all the time. This is when I've been wearing them the most. Even when I wore them out to dinners, outings, etc., mostly sitting down. Otherwise I'd wear jeans or whatever. I ask because I've tried on size large and those are just too baggy, and small would be tight, until they stretch, but no point if the stitching keeps becoming undone, which I have also experienced with the navy KITH collab esco's from the sakura project when I was experimenting with size small. I follow washing instructions and sometimes even put them in wash bags so they don't directly touch the interior of the washing machine. Makes no sense. You're right though, I guess I could contact them next time when the situation arises but it's just quite frustrating. Thanks for your input, but I know I can't be the only one as this has happened to some of my friend's as well.
