I think the waxed grey ones are a lot nicer than the black. I don't like the scaliness on the black, plus they look like generic boots that one could buy for much cheaper. The grey/waxed slate ones are very nice though IMO. Not buying bc I just bought the blk leather high tops

Once upon a time there were the Wings + Horns x Dayton service boots.

I passed on the boots after taking a look at the pics.  I'm not sure they really fit what I want in combat boots.  I prefer the CPs or SLP boot style more.  Out of the 2, the grey do stand out more.

Said it before and I'll say it again--this JE collection is VERY derivative of past Wings + Horns collections.

Really??  Do you know how many black shoes you could find that look similar to this? A simple Google search will do the trick. Those look like mid tops anyways, and I think if we're comparing these two shoes, the JE ones are much nicer...

I'm sure they're nice quality and all but I prefer CP combat boots. They've released so many different iterations you're bound to find something you like. Crepe sole, rubber sole, flat laces, round laces, moc toe, suede and leather... I have pic related and I really like them:

not as good as the W+H version but you can still do a MTO for dayton's charcoal nubuck boots but wait time is at least 12 weeks lol with a 250 downpayment and slightly cheaper cost

That was a terrible example, but if I had the time I could list about a dozen pieces from this season's collection that were essentially lifted from the W+H archives.

I wouldn't bet my grandmothers pearls on the conspiracy that they were heavily influenced by wings and horns...however, the flannel did remind me of the old maroon/black wings and horns flannel.

Considering pulling the trigger on a pair of the high tops. Someone on here with a pair, sell me on them ..
