Finally got the chance to try on an oversized crop hoodie in-store, really not as bad as people were making it out to be. I can certainly see that it's a little overpriced, but the weight is great for the summertime. Will definitely cop on a discount sometime soon.

Also if anyone's interested, I'm getting rid of a medium dark gray villain as well.

Edit: On a side note, I would do just about anything to get my hands on a medium Dune Expo tee at this point. Even a charcoal would be nice. Does anyone know where I might be able to find one in stock?

Many of you have seen these before, but here are my self distressed cropped Casts in Mica. Only difference from the last time I posted them is that I tore up the left knee a little more. Sage Clasic Crew btw.

What are your thoughts? Should I have left it as just a slit? I'm considering distressing my Coasts and Carbons for the heck of it. I have plenty of black and washed denim and they are for the most part out of my rotation at the moment.

Have the bottoms frayed more since you cut them? Contemplating doing some altering of my own, but want them to be more raw rather than frayed

They frayed because I threw them in the washer/dryer. If you want the more raw look, you can just not wash and dry them. I wonder what would happen if I took an iron to the hems...

The knees look really dope here. I'd love to try that on my own but feel like it wouldn't turn out as good as those. I like how you've got a few connected strands rather than a total blowout. How did you go about doing it?

echau: I've always thought those look great, and the added rips look great as well. How did you cut the leg openings off? Did you just use a scissor and cut straight across? How did you make them fray? I bought the cropped denim with the intention of wearing them like yours, but the leg opening is too big and I don't want to get them tapered so I have a back up pair of white N&F denim I plan to taper and chop up.

Thanks in advance icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

For the hem, I just cut it straight across and threw them in the washer/dryer to get some fraying.
For the rip, it was previously a slit like the other knee. I just cut another slit above it and another slit below it and pulled out the warp threads and left the weft.
Some of the weft broke apart and that's what you see hanging on the sides. I imagine even more of that will happen with continued wear.

So who purchased the Cast 2 shorts? Thoughts? My only concern is the inseam is 11" and I would need to shorten them due to height. Has anybody shortened them successfully?

@echau

Anyone know how much the cast 2 stretch jeans will stretch over time? I got 30s in Spring and it's the right waist size but the legs are skin tight on me.
post #19092 of 25460

I feel like the waist always stretches more than the calves/thigh areas. If they are blown out jeans (Zinc/Odeon) the blow out area stretches a bit, but the closed knee jeans retain their leg shape well in my experience.

I like them but due to me completely filling them out in the leg area it makes my butt look flat/non existent in the pants.  Maybe I shouldn't worry about that as a dude, but IDK.

LOL thanks man.  Pancake it is.  But yeah, as long as the thighs stretch out some I think they'll be fine.  I'm sure the seat will loosen up with time too and they'll look less "pancakey" on my ass.  As far as the calf goes, I'm fine with them being skinny there.
