Since there's so much denim talk, can someone give me their opinion on JE sizing? I wear 30 in most, but size up to 31 in acne (their black denim that doesn't stretch as much after wear). Copped a 30 in the cast 2 - coast, and the fit was comfortable, but after a couple months the waist basically slides right off me now, and I gotta pull my pants up every now and then if I'm on the go (which is pretty annoying tbh hahaha). Rest of the leg is snug but definitely not tight or constricting. and tons of stacks cause i'm short (5'6-5'7ish)... you guys think I should size down on my next JE denim?

And another question... if the denim has stretch, does that mean it'll stretch and return to shape better, or does it mean it'll stretch permanently after wear more?

Watch JE is gonna start whipping up hats too soon.  I never see him without one.  Would be dope though, considering they'd be minimal and basic pieces

Yesss this would be dope. A nice quality low crown done in a unique custom JE fabric like always + a leather strap would be flames

I am 6' 175lbs, larger thighs and rear from squats. Also, the waist on the the 31 would just "float" around my waist, but could never fit in a smaller size and wouldn't really want to. Since the new denim isn't in any stores in San Francisco (yet), any sizing help would be nice. I don't want to shell out 1K to try 3 on at home...Thanks

Large glutes make sizing a whole different ballgame. I'd say get your actual thigh measurement and order the size that is closest to that measurement. This is what I did for the waist on my order since I knew thighs weren't an issue. If you want them tight just order the one size lower. Main point here is getting your actual measurements and comparing them to the size charts seems to be the best way to go. You'll probably have a better experience tailoring the waist to work around thigh sizing. Also stick with stretch denim

Do you have last seasons heavy cropped tee? If so, how does it compare/how is this oversized tee? Pics would be much appreciated if possible!

I'm surprised you are a 31 though at that weight. I guess I'm just small. I'm 155 but a size 29. The 29 may be loose slightly too as I'm a 29 in slp.

Interesting, thanks for the feedback. I'm guessing the sizing difference is just because for one these are supposed to be tighter than the last denim drop, and secondly because I'm going for a extra slim fit rather than skinny, too skinny with my larger chest size always throws off the proportions in my eyes. So basically in the last denim drop I probably would've got a size 30 for extra slim or a size 29 for more skinny which sounds like what you're saying

Idk if @John Elliott can chime in, but I remember for the SS16 runway, the photos came a few hours after the show and the video came like a week later

I don't have last season's tee. Will post pics once I'm able to get home and try it on.

From my experience anything with polyurethane in it stretches as you wear them throughout the day. They return to shape but the same thing happens in every wear so you will need the belt. I get the fit that buttons but feels the tightest. It's the fit that works best for me that doesn't require a belt.
