@JohnElliottCo if you guys sold those white hangers labeled "John Elliott + Co" as shown in those pics I'm sure you guys would sell a lot! I'm sure a lot of us here are having hanger problems leaving marks and all or some people just end up folding.....just saying. Can we get the prices for the products dropping next week?

I know JE explained the machine, what it does, how it works, but can someone maybe help and tell me the difference material wise or aesthetically or feel from the regular french terry used on the villains, escobars, etc? I'm excited for this launch but have never felt or seen loopwheeled anything so very curious in a 'this vs that' type of way. Would love some insight on the great new pieces.

Just looking at the Loopwheeler website, somehow we must be in for a treat in terms of even cozier french terry. I already love all my JE things so this must be extra next level.

There's alot of information on there but the thing that interests me most is that it says the yarn is rewound and coated in wax to make it softer. Also supposedly these are meant to last a long time without losing the soft feel. We don't know how long the OG JE french terry stuff is supposed to last because it's still relatively new. The grey products also look like they have a different look than the regular heather grey and the obvious addition of the strings in the hood.

From reddit:

Loopwheeled cotton: there are some huge misconceptions about loopwheeled cotton and a whole lot of marketing bullshit from companies that misrepresent their products as loopwheeled when in reality they’re simply tubular knit or maybe not even that. This is what a loopwheeling machine looks like. Pretty ******* cool, right? Confusion arises because all loopwheeling machines are tubular knit but not all tubular knit machines are loopwheeling. Loopwheeling machines have a couple qualities that set them apart:
  • All loopwheeling machines, to my knowledge, are all vintage from the 1920s. They are all from this period. All of them.
  • The cotton is fed into the machine via gravity, no pulling down, which allows for the lack of excess tension (and very soft hand) that loopwheeled fabric possesses.
  • The fabric is knit extremely slowly. Like, absurdly massively inefficient slowly. Loopwheeling machines can only knit about 12 meters (about 40 feet) of fabric in a single day, which would only amount to about 8-9 sweatshirts.
  • The fabric must be cut by hand.

Yeah man there really is a lot on there. I was more curious about it from an outsider lookin in type deal. Kinda like a taste test. Loopwheel version vs reg version. Was just curious how different the look or feel of the loopwheel fabric was to the non loopwheel frebch terry. But i appreciate the info for sure!

I'm confused why anyone would think he's wearing a black clash crew? That looks like a chunky sweater. Don't see even the slightest resemblance to a clash crew.

Pretty sure he didn't think it was the clash crew. He was just throwing out an idea to be able to wear the JE bomber + clash crew in that manner.

Im pretty sure they meant they were gonna go for that type look but in the JE stuff as in the je clash under the je bomber like kanye did with the non je pieces

my black villian still has no snags or loose strings. Stretching and fading is all. I had a brand new villian and I sold it after one wear. I prefer my broken-in villian then wearing a new one lol

For those that pre-ordered the Pitch Black Villain Hoody around the time the Black Friday deal was going on what was the approximate shipping date? I checked my order status and it said it was delivered with my mercer T that was on the same order but it wasn't..

Have the same issue. I sent JE an email. Ordered it with the Esco, got the pants, not the PBV hoodie

That's odd--they'll probably contact you via StyleForum PM asking you to e-mail them once again. I had an issue with my order (which included the preorder for the pitch black villain) not even being shipped out--they were quick to respond and provided me with comp next day shipping.
