Yeah I am wearing an XL silk underneath. I'd say it's about an inch/inch and a half below my hip (the bony part). Size XL will be an inch longer I believe

Oh ok cool cuz I'm a large in the villain as well and was worried about the shoulder sizing on this jacket - def didn't wanna size up cuz the sides get bigger and will blouse out too much. Do you own the 41 overshirt or stadium jacket at all?

looks like the model wears the same size in the teddy as he does in the sweatshirts/tees. I own several JE products in L and ordered a teddy in L, hoping it fits just the same as everything else - not looking to wear anything under it but a tee.

They look like The Coast JE jeans but less nice and less faded. They copy it right down to the little damaged area of the left pocket.

The knee fades are pretty decent but the distressing at the upper block, honeycombs, and ankles look pretty ****** to be honest. Like they took an industrial sprayer and just swiped random linse across. Doesn't look at all natural.

Overall the color is pretty nice. I'm not sure if I should keep these or not.

edit: man the honeycombs are so bad. They're low as hell. Literally past my knee and on my calf and I have fairly long upper legs. If it wasn't for this they'd actually be pretty okay.

edit 2: Each size has a slightly different fading pattern. 36 and up have double back belt loops. This is the reason people see different fades. Weird.

I wear the same size as the model in everything/with a great fit. And a medium in the teddy fit my 5'4" 102lb girlfriend the way I wish it woulda fit me haha.

Quality is beyond phenomenal.

Thought it would be a nice idea to post collections of what everyone has bought so far. I like seeing the items in real world lighting as opposed to the shots on the website as well. My silk blend white mercer actually has some yellow in it, I'm guessing due to the silk blend weave process that it undergoes. Beautiful piece. I'm sold on any silk blend piece now. I just wish the sizing was more consistent. The length on my pitch black villain is 4 (yes 4) inches longer than in the measurements guide, so layering is kinda thrown off, which sucks. The lengths of the mercer tees also vary. I guess you can't have it all. Still, beautiful garments. The Research Document reminded me of Visvim's dissertations too lol

GAPxJE Sweats, black Escobar, pitch black villain, silk blend grey tank, grey and black mercer tee. White silk blend is in the wash, just wore it for the first time yesterday around SoHo. Again, beautiful quality.

@JohnElliottCo is there any possibility of a black silk blend mercer coming out any time soon?

And can anyone state the quality and fit of the varsity. Didn't see it in Atrium. Eyeing that piece next along with a basic black tee. Kudos John!

THIS!!! This is the only complaint that I have for JE+Co.
I own 4 villan hoodies (yeah call me stupid) but they all fit different including the size of the hood.
I don't expect them to have exactly the same size spec as it's on the measurements guide but the difference is quite noticeable and very annoying.
I know that JE+Co is still a very young company but these hoodies aren't cheap so they really need to work on this stuff.

John is a big fan of visvim, which comes as no surprise considering his m65 is cut almost identically to the kilgore jacket but with different details. He's also been spotted at FIL and has worked under simon miller who now owns fabric brand co, which is heavily influenced by visvim as well.

They have modified the the size of the hood so that might explain the hood. If your items are way different than what's listed on the site, I suggest you contact JE and they are good about replacing. I had a few peieces that were mislabeled.

Every pair's fades are different. I went to check them out in-store and found the 2 in my size had completely different fades, one was much darker with less distressing while the other was much lighter and the contrast of the distressing was greater. Comparing it to the other sizes, it's really inconsistent. I really liked the fades on mine but disliked almost all the other ones.

Not to mention the over all fit was bad
